Toyota has issued a recall notice for about 98,000 Corolla sedans and, Toyota Matrix and Scion xD hatchbacks from models years 2009 and 2010, in order to correct a defect that may lead to poor braking performance in cold weather.

The first Indian-built vehicles are expected to reach the U.S. market next year, when Indian auto giant Mahindra brings a pair of low-cost pickups stateside.
