Technology is a beautiful thing. Ford has taken notice and is releasing an Apple iPad application that will serve as a high-tech sales brochure for the 2011 Ford Fiesta.

According to a Ford press release, “With more than 3 million Apple iPads sold, this is the perfect opportunity for Ford to reach out to customers, by creating an interactive sales brochure that provides a depth of information not found in a typical dealer brochure.” Considering Ford says that the Fiesta’s demographic for its small car is “heavily digitally inclined,” this move may force rival small car automakers to follow suit.

Like a traditional brochure, the app will include information “about the car’s quality, safety, connectivity, available accessories, colors, as well as a list of standard and optional features,” writes Autoblog. But that’s not where the payoff is.

RTTNews reports that the app will provide “users with interactive product information, photos, videos and available custom offerings.” By taking advantage of the iPad’s tech, Ford is engaging customers through a new medium.

The Fiesta application is available now and can be downloaded for free at the iTunes store.
