2011 Infiniti FX Prices Drop

Last week we reported that Infiniti is increasing the price on its popular luxury large car, the 2011 Infiniti M. Good news this week, however: Infiniti is decreasing prices on its luxury midsize SUV, the FX.
An Infiniti press release says that prices “have been reduced from 2010 levels by $2,600 USD on FX50 and $1,250 USD on FX35 models.” What’s more, Infiniti is now making a power rear liftgate standard.
This change reflects the following new prices: the base FX35 with rear-wheel drive will begin at $41,600, while the all-wheel drive V6 version will ring the register at $43,050. The more powerful V8 FX50 AWD will cost $56,400.
In the highly-competitive market of luxury midsize SUVs, price decreases are rare. Autoblog has a theory on why this is happening: “The swoopy FX is off 12.4 percent calendar year to date,” and adds “It’s not like 2009 was a banner year, of course, so to help spur FX sales, Infiniti has lowered the base MSRPs.”
Knowing that Infiniti is having trouble selling its FX model, it may be a good time to check out our Infiniti deals or see if your local dealer will cut a nice deal on a leftover 2010 FX.
2011 Infiniti FX models are in showrooms now.
