Audi TT RS plus revealed Hot new Audi TT RS plus comes with 360bhp, can do 0-62mph in 4.1 seconds and has a top speed of 173mph
First pictures and details of a more powerful Audi TT RS plus have been released.
The TT RS plus is powered by the same 2.5-litre TFSI engine as the standard TT RS, but it now delivers 360bhp. The extra 20bhp helps propel the Coupe and Roadster to a top speed of 173mph while returning average fuel economy of 27mpg.
This isn’t the first time Audi has produced a hotter RS model, the first being the limited-edition RS6 plus in 2004. With a small power increase, the car was exclusive to the European market and came with subtle styling tweaks to the exterior.
Similarly, the TT RS plus gains 19-inch five-arm “Rotor” wheels, painted black with contrasting red rims. A diamond mesh, polished anthracite radiator grille completes the front end, while a fixed rear wing improves downforce at the rear.
The TT RS plus comes with Audi’s Quattro four-wheel-drive and magnetic ride systems, as well as the option of a seven-speed dual-clutch S tronic gearbox – the latter commands a £2,000 premium over the traditional six-speed manual.
Specifying the S tronic means the Coupe can go from 0-62mph in just 4.1 seconds, which is two-tenths quicker than the manual. The Roadster completes the same task in 4.2 and 4.4 seconds respectively.
UK prices and availability have yet to be confirmed, but we can expect a premium of around £5,000 over the standard TT RS, which starts at just over £45,000.
