Heading to the dealership this weekend and looking to save? Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep dealers have some great incentives for October.

One of the most impressive is the” Ram Handshake” program: buy a Ram truck, drive it for two months without payments, and if you’re not satisfied, bring it back. Or, you can chose zero-percent financing for up to five years.

If you want cash back, take a look at Jeep. The 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee is available with up to $4,500 cash back (no, that’s not a typo) or zero-percent financing for up to six years. Think about it: if you need a family car because you have a kid on the way, go for the Grand Cherokee and by the time that kid is in first grade, you’ll have the loan paid off — and can put the thousands of dollars you would have spent on interest in Junior’s college fund.

Cash back sounds more exciting than no-interest payments, but in this case, the zero-percent financing is a better deal. Over 72 months, you’ll save $1,083 compared to a loan with $4,500 cash back and 6.5 percent financing. But, if you don’t qualify for zero-percent financing, $4,500 cash back is nothing to sneeze at.

If you don’t want a truck or SUV, Chrysler is offering zero-percent financing for up to five years or up to $3,000 cash back on most of its lineup. That could put the stylish Chrysler 300 within your reach.
