Daily Auto News Chrysler Offers 60 Day Money-Back Guarantee on Minivans
Daily Auto News

Afraid to take the minivan plunge? Stealing a page out of General Motor’s playbook, Chrysler is letting interested car shoppers take one home for free.
Autoblog explains: “Chrysler invented the minivan, and Team Pentastar is so confident that you’ll like its newest people mover that the automaker is giving you 60 days to try a Dodge Grand Caravan or Chrysler Town and Country for yourself. Chrysler’s new 60-day ‘Minivan Pledge’ is open until March 31 to owners of competitive makes.”
“According to Chrysler, a ‘competitive vehicle’ simply means any automobile not produced by Chrysler — sedan, SUV or van,” explains Cars.com.
Chrysler says the minivans can be returned after 60 days with “no questions asked.” However, there is a cost. The Huffington Post reports: “Buyers must drive the minivans for at least 30 days. If they aren’t satisfied, they can return them to the dealer for a refund of the purchase price, minus registration and license fees.”
GM introduced a similar 60-day money-back promotion in 2009 that was successful. After filing for bankruptcy last year, Chrysler’s following suit is an effort to kick start sales in 2010.
