The Detroit News reports, “Ford Motor Co. is preparing to offer car buyers employee pricing, plus cash rebates, on most 2008 and 2009 models as part of a year-end clearance sale, a person briefed on the incentives said Friday. The offer, which will start Wednesday and run through Jan. 5, will exclude 2009 F-series pickups, the person said..
Motor Authority notes, “The discounts are designed to clear Ford’s excess stock, with the approach of new models on the horizon.”
Autoblog says that other incentives may be combined with the lower prices. So, “buyers may also get an extra dollop of cash on some models to help move the last of the ’08s.” While Ford is running this promotion, “General Motors will be running its annual year-end Red Tag Sales Event, so the two biggest domestic automakers will be battling it out for lowest profits sales supremacy.”
Ford’s offer is just one of dozens of incentives available now. Research the best car deals for November with U.S. News’ car rankings and reviews.
