Another day, another recall, this time it’s Ford’s mini-cargo van the Transit Connect.

According to Edmunds, “Ford is recalling 33,728 of its 2010 Transit Connect vans and stopping delivery of the affected vehicles…”

The reason for this massive recall: “The headliner retention push pin located on the headliner above the B-pillar trim on both the left and right side of the vehicles needs to be replaced,” says the National Highway and Traffic Safety Association after testing of the van revealed head injury criteria requirements were exceeded.

The recall will affect, “models built between Dec. 5, 2008, and May 31, 2010,” writes Cars.com.

Ford already has a fix in place and will soon begin contacting owners to repair affected Transit Connects. If you own a Transit Connect or have further questions you can contact Ford at 866-436-7332 or NHTSA’s hot line at 888-327-4236.
