Hyundai Blue2 revealed Fuel cell powered Hyundai promises to drive Korean firm into the future.

It’s a tantalizing glimpse into the next generation of Hyundai cars. The striking saloon prototype made its debut at the Korean firm’s home motor show in Seoul last week, with bosses labelling it a “blueprint for future” vehicles.

The Blue2 – pronounced ‘Blue Squared’ – is  Hyundai’s first hydrogen-powered fuel cell saloon car, and sparked a debate on whether Hyundai’s famous H-badge has had its day.

The winged logo on this car looks like a blend of MINI and Aston Martin.

The exterior design features blacked-out A and B-pillars to create a wraparound glass effect, while a smoked sunroof lets additional light into the four-seater cabin. The dramatic one-piece grille dominates the front with light clusters stretching back almost to the wheels, echoing the Vauxhall Ampera eco car.

Conventional side mirrors are replaced by rear-facing cameras, while an innovative welcome system recognises the driver and automatically opens the door for extra convenience.

The futuristic interior features twin iPad-style tablet computers which click into the back of the front seat head rest either vertically or horizontally.
