Kia’s radical ‘POP’ concept set for Paris debut. Korean manufacturer unveils innovative electric city car ahead of it’s appearance at the Paris Motor Show.
Kia are following up the bold styling of the latest Sportage with this striking city car concept set to be unveiled at the Paris motorshow.
The all-new ‘POP’ concept is tiny, measuring a total of just three metres in length, and features an innovative three-seater layout that maximises the limited interior space, with room for two adults up front and one central seat in the back. and an electric power train which produces zero carbon emissions on the move.
In these teaser shots you can see some of highlights of the radical design, including a battery charging point set flush with the rear bodywork, elongated side windows bulging out from each of the doors, and the button shaped ‘solid’ aerodynamic wheels. The flowing shape also features intergrated LED lights front and back – the pincer shaped headlights the only feature to break up its curving lines. Â
There is no word yet on the exact specifications or potential range of the POP, but expect more details to arrive when the car is unveiled at the Paris Motor Show on the 30th of September.
The Korean POP will be joined by several other outlandish all-electric concepts with a more Gallic flavour – including Citroen’s racing Survolt and Renault’s striking new DeZir.
