Lamborghini LP700-4 specs Full specs for Lamborghini’s Murcielago-replacing LP700-4 hit the internet.
Lamborghini’s new supercar isn’t due to make its public debut until the Geneva Motor Show next March. But that hasn’t stopped Auto Express getting an exclusive drive in a prototype of the newcomer, codenamed LP837.

And now, the full spec of the new car, which will use the LP700-4 badge, has been leaked online thanks to a dealer brochure which was poster on the Teamspeed internet forum. As expected, the car is powered by a 6.5-litre V12 which develops 690bhp and 690Nm. Top speed is now confirmed at 217mph and the 0-62mph sprint is over in just 2.9 seconds.

Power reaches the road via a seven-speed robotized gearbox which swaps cogs in just 50 milliseconds and an electronically-controlled Haldex four-wheel drive system. The car features racecar-style pushrod suspension.

Lamborghini has opted to fit 19-inch rims at the front and 20-inch rims at the back, while the carbon-ceramic brakes are an enormous 400mm in diameter at the front, and 380mm at the back. The newcomer is a little longer than the car is replaces, but otherwise very similar in size to the old Murcielago.

Other tech highlights include the confirmation that the new car will feature a carbon fibre monocoque, helping to cut weight from 1,650kg down to 1,575kg, jet-fighter-style TFT dials and electronically-controlled rear spoiler and side intakes.

At launch, buyers will be able to choose from 13 standard exterior paint colours, including three matt finishes and two new shades – Argos Orange and Estoque Grey. There are also 12 interior colours on offer. However, the brochure also confirms that buyers can opt for almost any colour through Lamborghini’s Ad Personam programme.

One thing that is yet to be confirmed is the name of the car. Whilst it is likely to feature the LP700-4 badge, in reference to its power output in metric horsepower, the car may also get the name Aventador.
