Land Rover's New Compact Range Rover

Yesterday Land Rover celebrated the Range Rover’s 40th birthday by unveiling the latest model to wear the Range Rover badge.
Officially called the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, the Evoque is the production form of Land Rover’s LRX concept that debuted at the Detroit Auto Show in 2008.
The low-slung two-door SUV will be making, “its official auto show debut…this fall in Paris,” says Edmunds.
No powertrain information has been released yet, but Automobile Magazine speculates that, “there will be a diesel-powered front-wheel-drive version — for Europe, at the very least — that reportedly delivers fuel economy figures similar to a base Mini Cooper.”
Jalopnik states that a V6 will be available for the U.S., though they’re, “not yet sure where the six-cylinder will come from.”
