Lexus announces emissions figures for CT200h Production version of hybrid hatchback delivers 96g/km and 68.9mpg.
Lexus’ new hybrid is one clean machine. Thanks to the firm’s latest hybrid technology, the CT200H, which goes on sale in the UK in October, will return combined consumption figures of 96g/km and 68.9mpg.

The figure is yet to be officially confirmed, but if the firm’s figures stack up, that will mean that the newcomer is exempt from road tax, and be eligible for 10 per cent benefit in kind company car tax.

The CT200h features an all-new platform and has been designed to offer a sporty drive, with the heavy hybrid mechanicals mounted as low to the ground as possible.

As the hybrid features a petrol engine, the baby Lexus also benefits from near-zero levels of NOx and particulate emissions that are a significant drawback to diesel-powered cars.
