Daily Auto News Looking for Love? Drive a Hybrid
Daily Auto News

Single ladies looking to land a man take note: driving a hybrid vehicle, like the 2010 Toyota Prius, or an all-electric car, like the 2011 Nissan Leaf, can help you find love.
According to the 2010 Timberland Eco-Love Survey, 21 percent of men would think twice about dating a woman who drives a gas guzzler. The survey also found that “[o]ne-quarter of men think ‘green’ women make better life partners (24%) or friends (27%) than those who aren’t so environmentally responsible.”
Given their fondness for driving big-engine sports cars, like the all-new Chevy Camaro SS, and larger-than-life SUVs, some may say that it’s hypocritical and unfair of men to impose such high standards on women. Then again, is it really all that surprising?
The 2010 Timberland Eco-Love Survey also found that “[f]ifty-four percent of men would question whether to start a relationship with someone who litters.” Other questionable behaviors include not recycling and leaving the lights on when not at home.
Timberland, however, didn’t survey the percentage of men who said they would have no gripes about carrying on a one-night fling in the back of a Hummer. Our guess? 100 percent.
Kelton Research conducted the survey on behalf of Timberland between March 17 and March 23, 2010. With a 95 percent confidence level, their findings represent the total U.S. population age 18 and older.
