Mazda MX-5 Kuro Special-edition Mazda MX-5 Kuro gets race-inspired styling upgrades
A special-edition version of the Mazda MX-5 has been revealed. It’s called the Kuro – which means black in Japanese – and features a few upgrades befitting of its name.

Priced from £18,495, the MX-5 Kuro gets a black roof and door mirrors, a diffuser style rear bumper, sports exhaust and race car inspired exterior graphics. There will only be 200 examples of the soft-top and 400 of the coupe available to buy in the UK from 1 July.

There aren’t any performance advantages over the standard models. The two engines available are the 124bhp 1.8-litre and 158bhp 2.0-litre, which are capable of top speeds of 121mph and 136mph, respectively.

The Mazda MX-5 Kuro is available from £18495 for the convertible and £21,995 for the coupe.
