Mercedes G63 AMG leaked – Mercedes G63 AMG leaked Twin-turbo V8 power for new Mercedes G63 AMG, set for Beijing Motor Show debut
Pictures of the new Mercedes G63 AMG have leaked on to the Internet ahead of its public debut at the Beijing Motor Show next week.
Replacing the G55 AMG, this new model features a new front bumper with large cooling ducts, double slat grille, side-mounted exhausts and five-spoke AMG alloys.
Powering the G63 AMG is a twin-turbo 5.5-litre V8, producing 536bhp and 760Nm of torque. Despite producing 43bhp and 60Nm more than the old G55, both mpg figures and emissions been improved. Average fuel consumption now stands at 20.5mpg and CO2 emissions of 322g/km, compared to 17.9mpg and 378g/km for the old model.
Even with this monstrous amount of power, this isn’t the most extreme G-Class to be released, as a G65 AMG is set to join the line up, although this version won’t come to the UK. This range-topping variant has the same twin turbo 6.0-litre V12 as the recently unveiled SL65 AMG, complete with 603bhp and 999Nm of torque.
