MINI Goodwood will cost £41k

MINI Goodwood will cost £41k Most expensive MINI ever will feature Rolls Royce-inspired interior, and a price tag to match.
There’s nothing mini about this MINI’s price. The BMW-owned firm has named its price for the MINI INSPIRED BY GOODWOOD – a limited edition hatchback trimmed to the same specification as a Rolls Royce.
Beginning today, buyers will be able to put down a deposit on one of just 1,000 example that will be built, each costing a staggering £41,000. Deliveries are expected to start in March 2012.
The name Goodwood refers to the home town of the Rolls Royce design division, a nod towards this car’s inspiration. The dashboard, central console, air vents, carpets, heated lounge leather seats, roof lining, doors and interior cladding are all finished in the Rolls-Royce colour Cornsilk. The dashboard and doorhandle surfaces are finished in Walnut Burr, a premium wood trim exclusive to Rolls-Royce. The paint colour is Rolls-Royce’s Diamond Black metallic and the 17-inch alloy wheels sport a multi-spoke design.
Power comes from the Cooper S’s l.6-litre 184 bhp four-cylinder turbocharged engine, while standard kit includes Xenon Adaptive Headlights, Park Distance Control, automatic air conditioning, an onboard computer and sat-nav.
