Auto news; MINI’s new base champ Entry-level One is the cheapest and most frugal Clubman yet.
With more than £1,200 shaved off the price, MINI’s new entry-level Clubman is sure to turn heads at the Geneva Motor Show.

Weighing in at £13,290, the One estate uses the same 95bhp 1.4-litre petrol engine as found in the hatch. This is mated to a six-speed gearbox to give 0-60mph in 11.6 seconds.

The car shares its steering and suspension set-up with the sportier Cooper variant.

Thanks to fuel-efficient technologies such as Brake Energy Regeneration, Auto Start-Stop and Shift Point Display, it returns 52.3mpg economy and emits 130g/km. Also, the One will be the first Clubman to come in silver or black, with matching rear door pillars – previously they had to be a contrasting shade. Air-con, originally fitted only to the John Cooper Works, is now standard across the range, too. The MINI One Clubman goes on sale in the UK on 28 March.
