Auto news; Navigon 1210 sat-nav Hi-tech sat-nav's a small wonder.
Makers seem to cram more and more features into their sat-navs, and produce them in smaller packages. That’s certainly the case for Navigon’s new 1210 - it’s barely bigger than a cassette tape.

However, thanks to a screen that goes close to the casing edges - as well as Navigon’s usual black, grey, orange and yellow colour scheme - it’s still easy to read. The only drawback is that big fingers can sometimes have trouble negotiating the touchscreen menus.

The 1210’s speakers are great, with direction instructions easily heard over road and traffic noise. One neat touch is the ‘beware’ alert, which warns if you have crept over the speed limit.

What’s more, the combination of that super-thin black casing and a high-resolution screen makes for a great-looking device. Auto day and night modes were good, and mapping very accurate. All in all, then, a great unit for the price.
