Yeah, we know David Hasselhoff has little to do with the new Knight Rider, and in the new series KITT has gone from being a Trans Am to a Ford Mustang with a serious body kit addiction, but that hasn’t stopped NBC from ordering a full season of the show. Jalopnik says the decision means “a complete season of awful green-screen effects, lackluster writing, unimaginative story arcs and blatant male demographic pandering..
The Hollywood Reporter gives more details, reporting that “”Rider” has been modestly rated since its premiere, typically matching CBS’ comedy block for second place in its 8 p.m. time slot. The most recent episode was seen by 6.9 million viewers, and earned a 2.3 adults 19-49 rating and 7 share.”
E! Online adds, “Well, we certainly never saw this one coming. But that’s usually the case with KITT, right?”
