Next Citroen C4 Picasso

Next Citroen C4 Picasso Our images show bolder look for the new Citroen C4 Picasso MPV, which shares its platform, engines and nose with the C4 hatch
An endless stream of new crossovers and SUVs is eating away at the traditional MPV class, but Citroen is holding firm. Our exclusive images show the next C4 Picasso is set to get a sharper design, with more pronounced lines and a bolder grille.
We produced the pictures from spy shots of a disguised Picasso on test, and they reveal that certain styling cues will be carried over from the current car, including the small window ahead of the A-pillar, which aims to enhance forward visibility.
There’s also a kink in the window line where it meets the C-pillar, which will add some flair to the design. And while the car in our exclusive images and spy shot has traditional rear doors, Citroen will offer a seven-seater with sliding back doors.
The new C4 Picasso is based on the same platform as the latest C4 and DS4 hatches, and will be offered with the same range of engines – 1.4, 1.6 and 1.6-litre turbo petrol engines, as well as 1.6 and 2.0-litre HDi diesels. The front end will be similar to the C4’s, too.
The car is expected to make its official debut at Citroen’s home motor show in Paris at the end of September. Sales will start at the beginning of next year, with prices set to kick off from around £17,000.
