Nissan Juke-R official pictures – Nissan Juke-R official pictures We have the first official pictures of the new Nissan GT-R powered 520bhp Super Juke
This new 520bhp Nissan Juke is faster than a Porsche 911. The one-off crossover is powered by the same 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 as found in the Nissan GT-R.

The extreme four-wheel-drive Juke-R will sprint from 0-62mph in four seconds and go on to a top speed close to 170mph. That compares to eight seconds and 134mph in the 1.6-litre DiG-T – the fastest model in the current Juke range.

Our first official pictures of the car – taken inside Nissan’s European technical centre in Cranfield, Beds – clearly shows the anthracite grey GT-R alloy wheels and high-performance brake calipers. A strengthening FIA specification racing roll cage has also been added to give sharper cornering, and the Juke’s standard cabin has been stripped out in favour of a pair of racing bucket seats.

The standard dashboard has been altered to accomodate the dials and 7-inch colour display from the GT-R, which can display everything from lap times and telemetry to cornering g-forces. The project has been undertaken for Nissan by motorsport specialist firm RML, with input from the brand’s European technical centre.

When it’s finished, the Juke-R will get an aggressive new look to match its supercar performance. The ride height will be dramatically reduced, plus there will be full carbon fibre bodykit, a set of cooling vents in the bonnet and a split rear spoiler.

A Nissan spokesperson confirmed to Auto Express that the car – known internally as the Super Juke – is only a technical study at this stage, and just two working examples will be built, to help gauge public reaction. However as both cars will be fully road legal, watch this space for a first drive in the near future.
