With the auto show circuit beginning to ramp up, Nissan has sent a teaser image of its latest zero-emission electric concept, the Nissan Townpod EV.

Nissan says “It is more than just a car and it’s more than just a van – it heralds a new-era of flexible, stylish vehicles that will bring electric-vehicle mobility to the masses.” While many manufacturers like to hype its concepts, reviewers do not know what to make of this.

Car and Driver speculates that, “Given that Nissan already has a production-ready electric vehicle—the Leaf—this Townpod concept could possibly use that car’s EV drivetrain. Or not.”

The Townpod is set to debut at this October’s Paris Motor Show.

Expect technical specifications and other details to be announced then.
