Finally had the chance to do a Godzilla Nissan GT-R. What an awesome car. hard to really capture all the lines and formes the car offers. Only downside, was the limited time to shoot, but well maybe next time

This is from a set taken over a week ago as part of a commission around a Nissan SkyLine GTR. The shot was taken with a Nikon D300 with a Nikkor 17-55 f/2.8 DX lense. Lighting was from 1 Nikon SB800 with Honl Wide Diffuser Grids flash set to +1ev up on a lighting stand about 6 feet high above the from wheel arch aimed back down the length of the car triggered using Nikon CLS ( The lighting on this one is not quite what I had in mind so hoping to re – visit this car over the next couple of weeks ). During post contrast and saturation tweaked with dodging and burning in work done. The steel texture hand drawn in with additional shadow detail also hand drawn in during final post production.

"It’s the NISSAN Skyline R34"
I had fun last weekend, taking some photos of 2 mean machines; and both are skylines. This photo was taken from inside another Skyline, R33 crusing at the same speed.
*the car just went through a 2 layer polishing & extra gloss layer*
In May 1998 the HR/ER/BNR34 addressed many of the concerns over the change from the R32 to the R33, with more emphasis on sportiness, and marked the introduction of the more fuel efficient and environmentally friendly RB25DET NEO engine. The RB20E engine was discontinued in the R34 base model (GT), and the RB20DE, after last being used in the R32 Skyline, was reintroduced in updated NEO guise.
The R34 GT powered by the RB20DE NEO, coupled with a 5-speed gearbox, became the most fuel efficient straight six Skyline to date (of any shape). It was not the most fuel efficient straight six of its time though; the 1998 Toyota Supra had better reported fuel economy. The 5 speed automatic transmission available on some models in the previous 2 shapes were discontinued. In its place Nissan produced a 4-speed Tiptronic transmission for all of the automatic versions.
