Recall Alert: 2010 Subaru Legacy, Outback
They may be Insurance Institute of Highway Safety “Top Safety Picks,” but the 2010 Subaru Legacy and Outback have been recalled.
Still, owners may not have too much to worry about. Left Lane News explains: “The recall only involves 809 vehicles, which were identified to have the problem based on the computer records.”
What’s the problem? “Some of the manual transmissions on affected models are missing a lubrication hole in the transfer case. If the gears are not lubricated properly, they will eventually break, leading to power loss and possibly a crash,” says Kicking Tires.
