Auto news; Red Bull reveals 2009 F1 car We look at Red Bull's revised RB5 challenger for the new season.
Following closely behind its competitors, Red Bull Racing has just unveiled its 2009 F1 car. Called the RB5 the all-new challenger has just been revealed at the Jerez circuit in Spain.
Crowds were treated to a few laps in the new car at the hands of Sebastian Vettel, who has been promoted from Toro Rosso and will be joined by Mark Weber for the 2009 season.
Like the other 2009 cars, major changes to the RB5 include a smaller rear wing, a bigger front one, regenerative braking system and slick tyres.
Rear shots are currently unavailable of the RB5 in an attempt to keep the rear diffuser hidden, as it has already been a major source of controversy for both Toyota and Williams and therefore Red Bull has decided to keep it secret until there has been an official ruling from FIA regarding design criteria.
It has also been confirmed the RB5 will have its fuel and lubricants supplied by French oil company Total.
With the new season just over a month away there is now only the new Toro Rosso and Force India still to be revealed.
