Auto news; Ring Automotive RBA3 and RBA4 Battery Monitors – tested Stay in charge with battery monitors
Normally, you don’t get much warning that your car’s battery is about to fail – the first you know about it is when you try to start the vehicle, only to be met with a stony silence. But with the latest battery monitors from Ring Automotive, you can keep an eye on the charge level without even turning a key.

Both models have built-in automatic circuit selection to determine whether your car runs on 12V or 24V power. The RBA4 attaches to your battery’s terminals with crocodile clips, while the RBA3 allows you to monitor levels from the comfort of the driver’s seat, as it plugs into the DC socket.

Digital displays tell you exactly how much voltage is left in the battery, while the three LED lights indicate whether it needs reviving – green means it is OK, amber suggests charge is required and red indicates the battery needs immediate attention. The monitors’ compact size makes for easy storage in the boot, or even the glovebox.
