Installing a hands-free phone kit in your car’s cockpit often adds another unwanted box to the gadget count. Yet this new unit combines two jobs in one.

The RXS:Redshift Rear-View Mirror Hands-Free Car Kit allows you to make and receive calls without taking your eyes off the road. No complicated installation or additional wiring is required, as the unit simply clips over the existing mirror and is operated using Bluetooth technology.

It also has a rechargeable lithium battery that is good for 15 hours’ talk time, so doesn’t need to be plugged into the
cigarette lighter to work.

The microphone and speaker are almost invisibly integrated into the device, while the caller ID is displayed on the rear view mirror itself. In addition, there is a Bluetooth headset which allows users to continue their conversation after the journey has ended or if they want to keep the details secret from fellow passengers.

The headset delivers a talk time of 2.5 hours, and digital signal processing technology reduces background noise and echo inside the vehicle.
