Vauxhall announces Corsa VXR Blue Limited edition Corsa VXR Blue joins new Vauxhall’s freshly facelifted Corsa range.
Vauxhall has announced a special edition version of its freshly-facelifted Corsa VXR. Called the VXR Blue, the newcomer features Arden Blue metallic paint, 18-inch alloys, dark-tinted glass, bespoke interior air vents and Recaro seats.

Like the rest of the range, the Corsa VXR Blue gets the new eagle-eye headlights, but adds a blue bar across the grille. As with the regular VXR, the hottest Corsa gets foglights, a more aggressive front bumper, small rear wing and centre-exit exhaust. Inside, the Blue edition adds blue stitching to the leather steering wheel, blue air vents and blue trim on the Recaro seats.

Power comes from a 1.6-litre turbo petrol engine, which allows the Corsa to sprint from 0-60mph in 6.8 seconds and hit 140mph. The Corsa VXR Blue comes with lowered sports suspension, uprated brakes and switchable ESP.

The Blue edition is available to order now, with deliveries in late February, costing £19,425 – £800 more than the standard VXR. Vauxhall claims that the extra kit would cost an extra £445 if you specced it on the ordinary car, and adds that the VXR undercuts competitors like the Citroen DS3 R and the Mini Cooper Works by up to £3,600.
