Volvo kits out the V70 and S80 Special edition S80 features more luxurious interior while V70 get R-Design treatment.
Volvo is broadening the appeal of its flagship models with updates to its Mercedes S-Class rival, the S80, and the V70 estate.
The S80 Executive features an instrument panel topped in leather, available in espresso brown or black. Also thrown in are ventilated soft leather seats with massage function, leather door panels, an integrated analogue clock on the instrument panel and an aluminium centre console. Underfoot there are extra thick carpets, while a fridge, complete with crystal glasses, can be added to the rear seats.
Prices start at £34,735 for the S80 Executive fitted with the 161bhp 2.0-litre D3 engine, £36,835 for the 212bhp D3 model and £40,885 for the range-topping 300bhp T6 AWD variant.
To achieve its R-Design status, the V70 receives body-coloured bumpers, silk metal wing mirrors with intergrated LED indicators and unique 18-inch ‘Ixion’ alloys. Inside two-tone leather, with the R-Design logo embossed on the seats, adds a sportier feel. The pack is available together with all engines, which makes it possible to choose the newly launched 1.6-litre DRIVe diesel with CO2 emissions at 119g/km.
Prices for the V70 R-Design range start with the DRIVe model at £28,195, while the 211bhp D5 version with stop-start costs from £32,400. Topping the price-list is the T6, costing £37,985.
